Whereas:

The Maverick Connection telephone directory is a valuable resource for students at UT Arlington; and

Whereas:

The Maverick Connection telephone directory currently includes student telephone numbers but excludes student university email addresses; and

Whereas:

The telephone directories of other universities including the University of Wyoming, Oklahoma University, Arizona University, Drake University, Arkansas State University, and Rice University provide the university email addresses of their student bodies; and

Whereas:

All Students are given the option to have their names and contact information included or excluded from the Maverick Connection; and

Whereas:

Faculty and staff email addresses are listed in the new Maverick Connection telephone directory.

Whereas:

UT Arlington employs a Spam Filter on its university email accounts and the UT Arlington administration is encouraging students to use their university email accounts as part of a transition to a "e-campus".

Be It Therefore Resolved That:

Student university email addresses be included in future editions of the Maverick Connection telephone directory.
