Remarks:

Whereas:

Severe casualties are unpredictable and may occur to university students; and

Whereas:

Students at other college and university institutions (i.e. UNT) commemorate students who have lost their lives during the academic year; and

Whereas:

A memorial service allows students to reflect on the relationships and memories they built with these students and provides a sense of closure.

Be It Therefore Resolved That:

UT Arlington hold a Memorial Service at the end of every spring semester to remember members of the UT Arlington community who have passed away during that academic year.
