Whereas:

The University has recently outlined some of its “Mavericks Go Green” initiatives, one of which is waste reduction; and

Whereas:

Examples of waste reduction initiatives include UT Arlington employees switching to “paperless” earning statements and professors no longer providing paper copies of syllabi to their students (they are available online); and

Whereas:

The current default settings for documents to be printed on campus include the printing of a cover sheet with various information including the Net ID, job title, time, date, and print quota information.

Be It Therefore Resolved That:

The default settings for documents to be printed be changed to include optional printing of the cover sheet (to reduce waste and the current associated costs of printing jobs).

Be It Further Resolved That:

Cover sheets will still be printed in facilities where an individual retrieves the print jobs from an OIT employee to maintain print job identification ease.
