Whereas:

Student organizations and departments are allowed to reserve rooms a year in advance through the Cosmic Calendar and months in advance through the University Center Operations and;

Whereas:

Some student organizations and departments reserve blocks of rooms for various dates and;

Whereas:

Some of the rooms that have been reserved are not used but they are not released in a timely manner and;

Whereas:

Room turnover time by the University Center Operations limits room availability and;

Whereas:

Other student organizations and departments cannot find suitable rooms for their events.

Be It Therefore Resolved That:

That Student Congress investigate the use and the current policies of the Cosmic Calendar, room turnover, and the University Center Operations and;

Be It Further Resolved That:

That a limit be placed on the number of rooms on various dates that a student organization or department may reserve and;

Be It Further Resolved That:

That rooms that have been reserved but are not going to be used, be released in a timely manner so that other student organizations or departments can have access to them.
