The UTA Alumni Association and the Student Affairs Division provide scholarships to deserving and academically promising first-generation college students at UTA. Contributions to the Centennial Scholarship Brick Walk project provide funding for this endowed scholarship. A candidate must be a first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a bachelor's degree). A candidate must demonstrate community service through a written statement included in the application. Financial need is not a consideration in granting this scholarship. |

Five hundred dollars is awarded each semester, to be applied to tuition, fees and books. The scholarship is renewable for up to 3 years provided the recipient earns a minimum GPA of 2.75 while enrolled for a minimum of 24 semester hours (12 hours per semester) completed during the Fall and Spring Semesters. |

Students who have been admitted to UTA and are enrolled in any of the baccalaureate degree programs offered by the University. |
Criteria: |
If an entering Freshman, an applicant must be in the top 25% of his or her high school graduating class and/or have scored 900 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT. If an entering Transfer Student, an applicant must have a transfer GPA of 3.00 or better after taking a minimum of 24 transfer hours. |
