UTA-HOSTS! Peer Mentoring Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to those who help others and provide recognition of the volunteer efforts of those who fulfill the principles of the UTA-HOSTS! Program.
Value:
 One hundred and fifty dollars per academic year. There will be 3 scholarships awarded in each category. This scholarship will be applied to tuition, fees, books, and other education costs such as room and board.
Eligibility:
 All applicants must be in good standing with the university and have completed at least one semester involvement at the level for which they are applying.  Because this is scholarship money being applied to your next semester, graduating seniors or students transferring to another school are not eligible.  Graduating seniors who are continuing on to graduate school at UTA are eligible.
Criteria:
Level I - Mentee Scholarship:
Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicants must have provided volunteer services to UTA-HOSTS! above normal participation requirements. Possible areas for such service include but are not limited to attending mixers, marketing and program planning.
Level II - Mentor Scholarship:
Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicants must have met all expectations as a mentor (including training, being matched, returning check-up sheets) and served beyond normal participation requirements. Possible areas for such service include but are not limited to attending mixers, marketing and program planning.
