Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the Student Government and sets many of the policy and programmatic goals for each academic year.

The executive branch officers include the Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, and Chief of Staff.

The executive branch consists of three committees- External Relations, Legislative Relations, and the Graduate Student Committee - and the Assembly of College Councils.

The External Relations Committee plans and implements outreach programs, such as Greet Your Government, Maverick Opinion Boards, Resolution Awareness, and Campus Conversations.

The Legislative Relations Committee encourages student engagement in local, state, and national politics through voter registration drives, hosting an early voting polling site on campus, and planning advocacy days to visit Arlington City Council and Texas State Legislature meetings.

The Graduate Student Committee encourages graduate student involvement in Student Governance and plans and implements programs such as Graduate Student Appreciation Week.

The Assembly of College Councils is made up of two representatives from each Constituency Council. The group meets once a month to discuss campus issues and works together to solve problems across the campus.

The Executive Branch of Student Government offers several programs and services to assist the student body.

Maverick Discount Program: Check out the MDP website for more info on how to save money just by using your Mav ID.

Pizza with the President: Dr. Karbhari answers any questions the Student Body might have while students get free pizza.

President's Roundtable: About 55 campus organizations meet with Dr. Karbhari once a month to give student feedback on several issues and learn about new campus issues.
