There are over 80 membership positions within Student Government! We want you to join us!

Executive Branch - serve as a member of the External Relations Committee or the Legislative Relations Committee

Judicial Branch - serve as a member of the Supreme Court or the Election Supervisory Board

Legislative Branch - serve as a member of the Student Senate


Member Recruitment Schedule for Spring/Summer 2018

Students interested in serving in Student Government for the 2018-19 academic year should pay close attention to the following dates/timelines for member recruitment.

Part of the Campus Elections process. Voting occurs in the University Center Art Gallery (Room 106 of the UC).

July 31 - August 2 TBD Interviews for all Student Government member positions (including External Relations, Legislative Relations, Election Supervisory Board, and any open Student Senate seats) Interviews hosted in Suite B150 of the University Center. Applicants will be sent additional details.

NOTE: All Student Government members are required to attend a training on Thursday, August 16. Failure to attend the training in its entirety will result in one (1) absence. Missing less than ten (10) minutes of the training will result in one (1) tardy. Absences result in removal from the organization. More details about the training will be provided to members.


STUDENT GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP TEAM

Students interested in serving on the Student Government Leadeship Team (i.e. Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, Chief of Staff, Speaker of the Senate, and Chief Justice) must have served at least one (1) session in Student Government prior to offer installation. This means, you must have served as a member of Student Government at least one (1) semester before your term would begin as a Leadership Team member.

The timeline of dates for Leadership Team elections/appointments is included in the chart above. Please make sure you read the position description below for the office in which you are seeking.
