Prajal Mishra -- President

PRajal

 Prajal is a Graduate Student who joined UTA in Fall 2016 and is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in Computer Science. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, India. While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree, he worked on several leadership roles including Microsoft Student Partner and Chairman, IEEE Medicaps student branch.  He has previously served Graduate Student Senate as the Co-Chair for the  Resolutions Committee  in the Fall of 2016 and as the  Public Relations Director in theSpring of 2016.  Now, serving as the President, his goal is to maximize the visibility of Graduate Student Senate and to create a positive impact in the life of Graduate Students on Campus. Also, a  iming to create an everlasting image of the Grad Life in the minds of all current Grad Students.


Budhyant Venepalli -- Vice President

BudyantBudhyant Venepalli is a Ph. D. scholar in the field of Aerospace Engineering at UTA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering form Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India. He has an immense interest towards research. His key research interests are in vertical lift/rotorcrafts and distributed electric rotors. He is currently in the advanced level in Leadership Honors program at UTA.

Previously, Budhyant served as a co-chair for the Resolutions Committee of GSS in Spring 2017. During his time in the Resolutions Committee, he was instrumental in authoring a key resolution pertaining to the doctoral students. He serves as the Director of Student Engagement at Golden Key International Honor Society at UTA and played an important part in receiving largest donation from student organizations towards golden canned food drive.

As Vice-President and an active member of GSS, Budhyant plans to be approachable to the students and focus on the long-standing issues of the graduate student community to bring suitable solutions.


DARSHIT GANDHI -- SECRETARY 

DarshitDarshit is a Graduate Student at the College of Business Pursuing Masters in Information Systems with a concentration in Business Analytics. As a Graduate Teaching assistant, he has help 200+ students till now. He obtained his Bachelors in Computer Science from Mumbai University, India.

Darshit has interest in Business Analytics, and he interned at Amazon where he was Business Intelligence Engineer.

He served as co-chair for Programs Committee before succeeding to serve as Secretary for GSS.As the Secretary for GSS, his goal is to advocate for the needs of graduate students by working closely with the Executive team and Programs Committee to host educational and social opportunities for graduate students to network.


GOUTAM KOLLA -- PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

GoutamGoutam Kolla is a Graduate Student in the School of Engineering, Pursuing his Masters in Industrial Engineering. He obtained his bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering from SRM University, where he also served as the President for the Association for Mechatronics Engineers.

He specializes in Automation, Manufacturing and Production. He believes in development through Technology. He worked at Garven - C Alloys on improving the standards and quality of the manufacturing processes, using his philosophies for a little over a year.  Currently he works with the Parking and Transportation Department at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Goutam has always been an active member of GSS and has previously served as the chair for the Outreach Committee. As the Public Relations Director of GSS, he aims at increasing the footprint of GSS in the Graduate School at UTA. He emphasizes on the use of social media for promoting GSS. He Also works with the outreach committee and aims to bring out newer and better ways to spread the word out and promote GSS in UTA.
