Our team consists of 20+ primarily mechanical and aerospace engineering undergraduate students. As a team, we compete in two annual “Design, Build, Test, Fly” style events: SAE Aero Design and IREC. In addition to competitions, we also participate in various K-12 outreach events, including Engineering Saturday, where we are one of the most popular events. The Aero Mavericks also engages in various professional networking events and has formed close relationships with local AIAA, SAE, and SFTE professional chapters.
The President’s duties consists of overseeing day-to-day club operations and organization of the team, budget, and outreach responsibilities and is the main point of contact for the organization.
The Chief Engineer resides over the division’s major decisions, priorities, technical structure, and essential design considerations.
The Treasurer is responsible for overall budget management and organization of financial expenditures.
