Sorry about the late update again. As some of you know, I've been sick with a cold. I'm all better now. I'm having to update this site in pico. My ftp program won't connect to the school server. AnimeUTA will have a table at Akon. It will be in the Comic Market. We are working on a schedule for the Summer semester.

Sorry about the late update. The file server where our website is reset my password for security reasons and then went down so I couldn't go in and change it back. There will be no checkout at the next meeting. All members must bring back the tapes that they have borrowed or will lose their deposits. The first meeting of the summer is two weeks after the May 11 meeting. Akon is at the end of this month. We will have a table in the Comic Market. The Akon website is on our links page.

We will be getting some free stuff from Tokyopop next week in the mail. The bake sale went very well. We thank everyone who bought our cookies and stuff and who donated money to replace what was stolen. There is a link to the Ushicon website on our links page now so be sure to check them out. Ushicon is an anime convention in Austin. Some of the officers work it too. I was on video staff last year.

Well now that it's been put in the Shorthorn even though we requested it not be put in, I have some bad news for everyone. We had some money stolen, approximately $250. There was about another $200 stolen from the Evil Goddess club. Anyway, because of this we have tightened our security. We, the officers of AnimeUTA are calling to our members and to those that are not our members to help us by donating some money to make up for our loss. That money was going to go to getting more fansubs and the like. We are also going to have a bake sale from April 8 to the 12. It will go from 11 am. to 4 pm. We will be selling cookies, brownies, and other baked goods. We will have some Pikachu cookies complete with optional blood to pour on. C'mon people, it's cookies for breakfast. Cookies. They're nature's snack food. Cookies. You can eat them. Oh, and go read my online comic. [Seekers]

Happy April Fool's Day everyone. We have finally gotten a date set for ArlingCon 8. It will be on October 5. For more information, please visit the ArlingCon section of the site. If you look at the meeting page, you will see that the episodes we are showing of Basara is not specified. That is a typo on my part and I don't have the written schedule on hand. I can't remember how much we showed of it last time so I just put 3 and 4. This might not be it. All I know is that we are showing two episodes of it. It might be 4 and 5. Until I can find out which eps we are showing, this will have to do.

New sections have also been added. UTA is closed and classes are cancelled, but the buildings are still open. Therefore, we will still be having our meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting because of the weather, you will not lose your deposit as long as you bring your tapes to the next meeting.

In other news, the subs on Noir are a tad small. Members have been hounding us to show it so we are obliging. If the subs are too small for people to enjoy Noir, then we will show Seraphim Call. Of course, we could always show Read or Die. I will then try my best to enlarge the subs on Noir so we can show it at a later date.

Also, we will not be having the dance this semester. We need more preparation time and more money. To get more money, we will be having a bake sale, selling pet rocks and activity books (all anime-related of course). There should be some samples of the pet rocks and the activity books at this week's meeting, but I'm not sure.

We will be having another Funimation screening on Monday, March 11th. This time we will be screening Lupin III: Secret of Twilight Gemini. In other news, we finally got our fansub orders in and can make a better schedule. There is more Fruits Basket on the way, along with Read or Die. If anyone has any suggestions on what we should show, please feel free to e-mail us. Also, don't forget that we have DBZ and Blue Gender dvds for sale at the meetings at $20 a piece. Once I sell all these, then I can get more for the club. This can mean Lupin, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Fruits Basket, so come with money!

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day. I just wanted to say that we will have Funimation dvds for sale. I currently have episodes 60 through 216 of Dragon Ball Z uncut dubbed and subbed and Blue Gender volume one (episodes 1-3) uncut dubbed and subbed. The dvds will be $20 a piece.

A lot has been updated on the site and changes have been made to how the club will be run. Permission slips are in effect now so if you are under the age of 18, you better come with it and your parent or guardian ready to sign. AnimeUTA membership cards are also done. Evil Goddess cards will be done soon. The meeting schedule has been updated. Our tapes are being made this week and next week so a more complete schedule will be up soon. An updated library list is also online. How do you like Utako? She is cosplaying as Guu from Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu, which we will be showing at this week's meeting. She's cute, but not. I would like to start off by thanking everyone who attended the Funimation screening. I think it went really well. We will be having more so just keep checking this site for details.

I would just like to say that at this next meeting, we will be reminding our new, prospective, and old members that we will be instating the underage permission slips. This policy will go into effect the February 2nd meeting. Those who wish to attend AnimeUTA meetings, members or not, must bring a parental permission form signed by their parent or legal guardian. That parent or legal guardian must come up to the meeting with ID and sign the form in front of us. We will hand out forms at this Saturday's meeting and will continue to do so at other meetings.

Other than that, I hope everyone has a wonderful Spring semester!

Everyone else has it on their websites so here it is on this one. Happy palindromic New Year! Look at kimono Utako! I thought it nice for spring. I think I'll be updating her part of the site every month or so. A lot has happened over the break. Read the All Things Funimation section. It has information about the screening Funi will be having this Friday, January 11. Go to the screening and tell all your friends. You get free stuff people! We will also be selling Funimation dvds at the coming meetings. I also updated some of the ArlingCon section to reflect what I know about ArlingCon 8.
