In addition to the BME core faculty, a number of professors from other departments in the College of Engineering and the College of Science at UTA participate in the Biomedical Engineering Program as adjunct faculty. They collaborate in research projects with the core faculty and mentor Biomedical Engineering students. This interdisciplinary format is also in use at the UTSW campus.
