The Maverick Chess Club is devoted to the growth and development of a dynamic and avid chess hub at UTA.

We want to invigorate the classic game of intellect, strategy, and patience giving students and faculty the opportunity to enjoy some time away from the humdrum routine without dulling the mind. The chess club encourages the casual game in addition to the still mental bouts. The Maverick Chess Club will also hosting several tournaments throughout the year offering the chance to play USCF-rated chess players.
