Neverwinter Nights 2 is an MMORPG based on Dungeons and Dragons. One of its most acclaimed features is its extremely rich and powerful editing tools, and the ease with which one can use them.
The result of these tools combined with a talented and widespread pool of modders has resulted in the creation of "persistent worlds" (PW's). Why play through a campaign when your character(s) can adventure in a world that never ends, with others?
Harbinger is one such world, in which the players drive the story arc forward. There are many stories to unfold -- a Deep Gnome seeks retribution for the atrocities committed against his race, and for the slaughter of his master. A noble King struggles to rebuild his war-ravaged kingdom. Mages from all walks of life seek magical crystals with the power to create and destroy. Assassins creep about, dragons roam frosted peaks, and at the heart of such turmoil lies the legendary sword that started it all, known as "The Harbinger."
