Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) is an international Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering honor society with chapters at approximately 200 locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. While one goal of the society is the stimulation and reward of scholarship, Eta Kappa Nu has a far broader purpose than merely to award a badge of distinction to scholars. Eta Kappa Nu and its members are dedicated to helping fellow members and non-members alike, improve the standards of the profession, the courses of instruction, and the institution in general, where its chapters are established. Its members are primarily comprised of outstanding Juniors and Seniors in Electronics or Computer engineering. To be considered for membership in HKN you must be a Junior in the top quarter of your class or a Senior in the top third of your class.

Park Cleanup Information - Fall 2011

Date: October 15

Time: Tau Beta Pi candidates need to be at Nedderman Hall at 8 a.m.  If you are not a Tau Beta Pi candidate but would like to follow someone to the park please be at Nedderman Hall no later than 8:45 a.m.

There is a creek corridor that needs a litter clean up badly. It is located on Mill Creek  Drive, just North of Pioneer. It is a short, dead end street off Mill Creek. Here is the map link.  map link

You can park along the street, just don’t block any drive ways. Parks department staff and HKN officers will meet you there. At the dead end barricade, you can walk down the trails West bound to Johnson Creek.

If you cannot attend the park clean up you can do a tutoring session instead.  If you are planning to do a tutoring session please let us know so we can post signs and send emails to the students in the class you are planning on tutoring.
