The UTA Native American Student Association 2012-13 Scholarship

This $1,100 scholarship ($550/Fall, 2012; $550/Spring, 2013) will be awarded to a student attending UT Arlington at least half time. The student must have demonstrated a commitment to a Native American community and indicate how he or she will participate in the UT Arlington Native American community. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate a commitment to NASA while attending UT Arlington as a scholarship recipient. High school seniors, UT Arlington students, and transfer students are welcome to apply.

Deadline: Completed application materials postmarked by May 18, 2012 (see below)

Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant must be attending UT Arlington at least half time (six hours per full semester) with a GPA of at least 2.5. The applicant must demonstrate commitment to and strong interest in the Native American community. Please note that American Indian descent is NOT necessary to be considered for the scholarship. The scholarship is available to High school seniors, UT Arlington students, and transfer students are welcome to apply.

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A completed application form
  • Official high school and/or college transcripts
  • Two letters of recommendation

Recipient decisions are made during the Summer II semester.
