What Is Rotaract?
● Rotaract is an international program of Rotary International for young professionals (ages 18 to 30) who want to make a difference.
● There are 163,000 members of some 7,088 Rotaract clubs in 151 countries.
● Rotaract clubs conduct meetings, usually every two weeks. Rotaractors use their weekends for service projects, social events, and workshops.
● Rotaractors work hard, but they believe in having a good time. They hold barbecues, car rallies, camping trips, dances, cultural events, and more!

Rotaract Goals
● Recognize, practice, and promote ethical standards such as leadership qualities and
vocational responsibilities, while developing professional and leadership skills.
● Learn about the needs and opportunities of local and global communities.
● Serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill.

Rotaract Activities
COMMUNITY SERVICE: Rotaractors carry out at least one community service project per year, to improve the lives of people around them.
For the 2004-2005 school year, the Rotaract Club at UTA participated in many volunteer activities. Some of the most notable are: Arlington's Litter Challenge, Nursing Home Bingo, Thanksgiving Project - Serving Thanksgiving Meals, and many more.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE: Rotaractors learn more about other cultures by performing at least one international service project each year.

We hosted two main international service events last year. In October, Rotaracters hosted a benefit concert at the UTA Music Hall - The Children of the Dump concert to raise money for a shelter in Nicaragua. In April, we hosted the Bowling for Teeth event at the UTA Billards & Bowling center.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Rotaract builds leaders, and leaders build strong clubs with effective programs. These leaders organize and promote their Rotaract clubs.

In addition to working with others, members participate and get involve in their own committees in an effort to build a stronger club.  Club officers learn valuable skills that will greatly affect their personal life as well as professional life in the future. The Interact / Rotaract Conference is one of the many seminar to develop those skills.
