Gamma Walk for Awareness

The Ladies of Sigma Lambda Gamma proudly present our 5th annual Walk for Awareness on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. is deeply moved by the thousands of deaths caused by breast cancer each year. Because it is such a growing issue, we have deemed Breast Cancer awareness as our Philanthropy.

This year alone, 182,480 new cases will be diagnosed among women and men. Sadly, 40,930 are expected to lose the battle of those including about 450 men as well. To help educate the public about this disease, Sigma Lambda Gamma will host “Walk for Awareness,” a 2-mile walk and run on April 18, 2009. The proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.

With your help Sigma Lambda Gamma can help in this dilemma by contributing to this foundation by making all aware of this fatal disease. With great pleasure we invite anyone and everyone to assist us in this endeavor.
