Shannon Massey, Bell Helicopter

SHANNON MASSEY is the Program Manager for FireX at Bell Helicopter Textron Inc.  In this capacity, Shannon works with Contracts, Engineering, Integrated Operations and the Commercial Program Managers in a joint effort to develop unmanned helicopter systems.  As part of Bell’s ongoing commercial program’s market strategy, FireX is expanding the capability of Bell’s existing products to increase their market potential.  Leveraging a proven platform like the 407 into an unmanned aircraft is an example of that ongoing strategy.  With the excellent operating capability and global market acceptance of the 407, coupled with the proven unmanned control systems of Northrop Grumman, Bell Helicopter is now expanding into an exciting new realm of commercial products.  Shannon is Bell’s primary liaison with Northrop-Grumman as we pursue those opportunities.  Shannon is a certified Textron Six Sigma Master Black Belt allowing her to drive Bell’s processes to premier.  She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and received a Masters degree in Business from Texas Christian University. Shannon joined Bell Helicopter as a full time employee as an engineer in 1995. She has moved into various roles of increased responsibility through the years to her most recent position as Value Stream Manager in Manufacturing. She is a member of the following professional organizations: American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Society of Materials, and Society of Women Engineers.

Jennifer Vilbig, Jacobs Engineering

Jennifer Vilbig, EIT is a civil engineer in the land development group of Jacobs Engineering in Fort Worth. Previously, she worked as a civil engineer for CH2M Hill in Dallas and Houston. While with CH2M Hill, Jennifer's projects included site design on a US Air Force Base abroad, as well as numerous industrial sites. Jennifer also designed numerous crude oil pipelines. At Jacobs, her current projects include natural gas drilling permitting for drill sites and pipelines and design of a data center for the US government as well as 3D modeling in support of earthwork calculations. She graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2007 after starting college early at the Texas Academy of Math & Science at the University of North Texas in Denton. Jennifer was an officer of her SWE section in college and has stayed actively involved in Dallas SWE, serving as the membership chair and counselor for SMU. She enjoys traveling and playing with her 2-year old lab/golden retriever dog.

Rebecca Rasor, P.E., Managing Director, Trinity River Corridor Project

Rebecca Rasor is a native Texan, born and raised in Terrell, Texas. Rebecca moved to Dallas shortly after earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (class of ’83), and began her career as an Engineer Assistant with the City of Dallas Water Utilities Department at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant in 1984.

Rebecca worked for the Water Utilities Department for 15 years, and eventually held the position of Assistant Director of Wastewater Operations.  She was appointed to her current position as Director of the Trinity River Corridor Project in August of 1999.

Rebecca is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
