Our fall social, co-hosted by Phi Alpha Theta, was a great success with lots of food and friends! Thanks to Dr Adam for opening his home to us and
shutting away his cats for a few hours, and thanks to Rufki Salihi for providing such wonderful homemade lasagna!
The Eleventh Annual Graduate Student Symposium on Transatlantic History, entitled “The European Imagination of the Americas ,” (see the call for papers) was held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, in the Red River Room of the University Center – the presentations were eclectic and good, followed by our fun and engaging guest speaker Dr. Meredith McClain. The symposium had an excellent turnout for attendance, but if you missed it – you better plan for next year’s! See also the summary posted on H-Net by Isabelle Rispler. Pictures to follow!
