History in Texas: University of Texas at Arlington
on Historians TV to
various pages, mainly because I’m in it, and I rock – made this page
read in reverse chronological order, newest to oldest – and since nobody reads
this page but me really anyways, I can shamelessly promote myself: thus “The Interconnected
Atlantic World,” my review of The Atlantic World: A History, 1400-1888
– and I can put a picture of myself here too, being all awesome and smoking a
cigar at the 2010
book sale:

1/30/2008 – Fixed a couple of bits on the
contact page. Updated
upcoming events on the index/front page.
1/17/2008 – Couldn’t sign on, got OIT to
fix it and, lo, all the changes I made on 1/8 had disappeared. So I had to redo all the things listed
above. Changed the officer information
and added some upcoming events. I
resized the pictures before sticking them on the page,
hopefully this fixes the pixilation problem. (N.B., thirty minutes later – it
didn’t.) Also centered
them differently.
1/8/2008 – Decided to create this log so I remember
the changes I made to the website. Created this page. Added
photographs to the 2007 symposium page and created a new symposium picture
page. There are more photographs in the
files of the website and at photographer Trey Lee’s site. I added some photographs and details to the
News page. Made minor
changes to the index page, and some minor changes to a few others. Also, I don’t understand why the photographs
on many of these pages are pixilated. I
assume it is because they are such huge files that I shrink down to fit on the
page. However, they look good on my
computer, but look like crap on the web.
Hmm. Any ideas? Perhaps I
should shrink them before linking to them on the pages?
