About UsThe UTA Finance Society is a student organization whose members share a common interest in the study of finance and the pursuit of careers related to the field of finance. Membership in the society is open to all university majors and all students are encouraged to apply. Today's employers are interested in highly diversified and motivated students and we provide an avenue for society members to develop networks with prospective employers as well as provide a pool of high quality job Candidates for those employers. Our primary goals are to maximize the value of your academic experience, enhance your job opportunities and never forgetting to have fun along the way.
History of the UTA Finance SocietyThe Finance Society of UTA is a local chapter of the Financial Management Association (FMA), an international organization comprised of financial executives, analysts, professors, and students worldwide. There are over 350 student chapters around the world. We began in 1982 at the UTA College of Business Administration (COBA) and has been ranked in the top 10 of student organizations for the last eleven consecutive years. In August of 2002, we received the "Superior Chapter" award from FMA. The Finance Society has been recognized for innovative prowess by an article in "The Shorthorn". The Society was the first UTA student organization to hold officer elections online.
