Content of The Shorthorn chronicles the life and history
of the UTA community, and readers often request copies of
photographs or permission to reprint articles and photographs.
Here are guidelines for doing so.
Photographs for personal use:
:: Copies
of most photographs that appear in The Shorthorn are available
to readers for personal use at a small cost. If you would like a photo reprint, click here
to access the Photo Reprint
Order form, print it, fill it out and submit it with
full payment to the address listed on the form. (If the
photograph is not available, payment will be returned.)
Photo reprints may take up to eight weeks.
Using content in other publications:
::
Content of The Shorthorn
and all other UTA student publications
cannot be reprinted, reproduced or copied in any form or
medium without the express written permission of UTA Student
Publications. To request permission to reproduce an article,
photograph or other content, send a written request to the
UTA Director of Student Publications, including this information:
the
date and page number and name of publication in which
the item was published.
description of the
item: headline or other identifying characteristic.
full description
of the intended use: name of publication, etc. |
::
If the request is to use the content in another publication
(print, electronic or otherwise), the request should be
submitted on that publications letterhead.
::
Mail or fax the request to Lloyd
Goodman; Director of Student Publications; Box 19038;
Arlington, TX 76019; fax (817) 272-5009.
Photograph permission:
::
If the request is to reproduce a photograph, the person
making the request also may be required to get written permission
of persons in the photograph before the photograph can be
reproduced. No content may be reprinted or reproduced until
written permission has been received from Student Publications
and the publisher agrees to conditions explained in that
permission letter.
