LATE APPLICATIONS

Depending on the commencement program publishing deadlines, late-applying students may not have their name included in the commencement program.

CEREMONY RSVP AND TICKETS

In order to participate in the ceremony, graduation candidates must fill out the Commencement Ceremony RSVP Form by April 3, 2018 before 4pm. Those who complete the form before the deadline and have been approved to participate will receive ticket instructions to obtain tickets for their guests in their MavMail account from UTA. When the University lets us know date of ticket distribution, we will contact those who submitted their RSVP.

Candidates who submit their RSVP and application late or who do not confirm their RSVP to participate will not receive instructions to print tickets in their MavMail account. We also cannot guarantee the maximum number of guest tickets.  You will need a GRADUATE (not a guest) ticket for entry into the College Park Center west doors. All guest tickets will enter in the north doors. When you pull your tickets, you should also get automatically, a graduate ticket. You must bring this with you to enter.

Guests over the age of two must have a ticket to attend the ceremony. All seats are first come, first served basis. Amount of tickets are limited to the amount of each graduating candidate attending.

GRAD FINALE (INVITATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS, REGALIA, MAVERICK RINGS AND ACCESSORIES)

Check the UTA Bookstore for dates and times for the Grad Finale. A Jostens representative will be there to show samples and take orders for your invitations/announcements and to take orders for Maverick Rings. Regalia (caps, gowns and hoods) and accessories will be on-hand for sale. This is a great one stop commencement shopping opportunity! Invitations and Announcements can be ordered online at www.jostens.com.

PERSONAL ITEMS AT THE CEREMONY

Do not bring personal items with you (i.e. purses, cameras, etc.). If you do not want to carry them across the stage, then leave them with your guest or family before you enter the building as they are not permitted in the line-up area. Once the ceremony begins you cannot return to this area.  Items left in the line-up area are not the responsibility of University staff.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Flash Photography will photograph each graduate candidate during the commencement ceremony. Complimentary proofs will be mailed to the candidates the week after the ceremony. The photographer will use the address on the cards to mail ordering information to purchase pictures.  If you have questions, please contact Flash Photography via their website here: www.flashphotography.com

DEGREE

Degrees will be distributed from the Office of Records and Registration in Davis Hall. Please contact them for questions concerning your degree.  Commencement is both a joyous and serious occasion. We ask that members of the audience refrain from making unnecessary disturbances that would interfere with everyone’s desire to see and hear all aspects of the ceremony.
