Advisor Excellence Awards

ABOUT

Each year in the spring term, academic advisors gather to celebrate and recognize the excellent work of their colleagues at the Advisor Excellence Award Ceremony. Part of the ceremony includes awarding that year’s Advisor Excellence Award recipients who were nominated by students.

ELIGIBLITY REQUIREMENTS

Persons eligible for the Advisor Excellence Award include faculty members who are designated as academic advisors for undergraduate or graduate students and staff members whose primary responsibility is the academic advisement of undergraduate or graduate students. Nominees must be employed either full time or part time by UT Arlington and have held their current advising position for at least one year. Previous recipients are ineligible for the award for five years.  See Award Recipients Link for past winners.

STEPS TO NOMINATE AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR

Nominating an academic advisor is easy and can be done in less than five minutes. Each spring term, actively enrolled students are sent a short survey in their UTA email.

*Note: While the Division of Student Success sponsors this web site, awards finalists are selected by the Advisor Excellence Awards Committee and the winners are selected by the Office of the Provost.
