Certificate Program Application Procedure
Initial Steps: In order to begin the admissions process, the following items are required and should be sent directly to the Graduate School (UT Arlington Graduate School; Box 19167; Arlington; TX 76019) by the appropriate application deadline :
- Completed Application
- Application Fee
- 250 Word Personal Statement should outline research agenda and reasons for wanting to earn the doctoral degree
- Official transcripts from previously attended education facilities (photo copies are not acceptable) Official transcripts from the institution(s) at which the Bachelor’s work and Master’s work for PhD applicants was attempted or completed.
Official transcripts or marksheets and diplomas are those bearing the original seal of the institution and the original signature of the Registrar or responsible head of the institution. Those not issued in English must be accompanied by an exact word for word original English translation bearing the original university or translation agency attestation; and
- Bank Affidavit and Financial Statement (International students planning to enter the US on a student visa)
- Official GRE scores
- Official TOEFL scores, if required (Issued by the Educational Testing Service (ETS)
- Completed Recommendation Forms or Letters of Recommendation (3 required). Letters should attest to the applicant’s ability to do doctoral-level work and complete a dissertation. Letters for doctoral programs must be from academic sources.
The recommendations should be sent to the School of Urban and Public Affairs (SUPA) and can either be mailed or faxed to UT Arlington SUPA Att: Graduate Academic Advisor; Box 19588; Arlington; TX 76019 or fax to 817-272-5008.
Subsequent Steps: Once you are admitted to a graduate business program, you will receive a letter from The UT Arlington Graduate School. You will want to make an appointment with the graduate advisor of your program to establish a degree plan that you will use to guide through the completion of your degree.
