Hermanns Fellowships

The UTA Graduate School’s Hermanns Fellowships are awarded for the support of outstanding doctoral students. General guidelines require applicants to have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 plus any graduate credit hours of 3.0. SUPA requires these additional criteria: Applicants must be entering students, have high combined verbal and quantitative GRE scores, and take at least six credit hours of course work a semester. Awards are for $1000 per year and are conditionally renewable for a maximum of three years. Recipients are eligible for in-state tuition rates.

Graduate School Master’s Degree Fellowships

Graduate School Master’s Degree Fellowships are for the support of outstanding master’s degree students. General guidelines require an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 plus any graduate credit hours of 3.0. SUPA requires these additional criteria: Applicants must be entering master’s degree students, have high combined verbal and quantitative GRE scores and take at least nine credit hours of course work a semester. Awards are for approximately $1000 per year and are conditionally renewable for a second year. Recipients are eligible for in-state tuition rates.

Graduate Dean’s Texas Resident Dissertation Fellowship Program

Graduate Dean’s Texas Resident Dissertation Fellowship Program supports Texas residents in the final stage of completing the doctoral dissertation. To qualify, students must have successfully defended a dissertation proposal and be within a year or two of finishing the dissertation. The amount of the Fellowship is directly linked to a student’s level of financial need.

McNair Graduate Assistance Package

Welcome to McNair Scholars

You are invited to apply for SUPA’s McNair Graduate Assistance Package (M-GAP) now set up for students entering entering graduate school for the first time in fall 2003. The McNair package includes three elements of financial assistance that will substantially ease the cost of attending UTA. The package includes a fellowship, a 20-hour assistantship, and a waiver of the Graduate School application fee.

To qualify for these competitive packages you must be a graduate of a McNair program, apply and be accepted into the Master of Urban Affairs program at SUPA. All applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average in their undergraduate courses and meet all Urban Affairs admissions requirements.
