Internships
Local Internships
Local internship positions are frequently available to SUPA graduate students in Urban Affairs, Public Administration, and Planning.
Internships are intended to provide meaningful work experience with local public service agencies, municipalities, and planning departments. Professionalism in carrying out the internship is stressed, and the student’s performance is evaluated by both the faculty advisor and agency internship manager. Arrangements vary, but typically a student is engaged for 20 hours per week over one or two semesters. Rates range from $6 to $10 per hour.
Contact your SUPA program advisor for more information.
UTA Student Employment Services can also assist students in locating local internship positions. Visit the Student Employment Services Web Site or call 817.272.2895 for information.
