Leadership Retreat Scholarship Available

The President’s Sustainability Committee is offering scholarships to attend UT Arlington’s Leadership Retreat in Glen Rose, Texas from August 10-12, 2009.

Scholarship recipients will be required to:

1. Attend the 2009 Leadership Retreat in its entirety

2. Plan and implement an event during the Fall 2009 semester that meets the following criteria:

- The event main goal is to offer an educational opportunity to the community about sustainability OR the event itself puts into practice sustainable planning and implementation*

AND

- The event promotes information about the President’s Sustainability Committee*

*Note: The Communications Work Group will provide direction in meeting this criteria.

To apply, submit a letter of application to the President’s Sustainability Committee. The letter must include the following information:

- Your First Name, Middle Initial and Last Name

- Your University ID number

- Current address and permanent address

- Home phone number and cell phone number

- UTA e-mail address

- Major, classification and expected month/year of graduation

- Current cumulative GPA

- Organizations in which you are active and leadership roles/position(s) you hold

- A statement of interest in attending the leadership retreat and what you and/or your organization hopes to gain from the experience

- A description of how your attendance at the Leadership Retreat will help you develop your leadership skills

Scholarship recipients will be notified by July 15, 2009

The annual Leadership Retreat is presented by the UT Arlington Leadership Center, a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
