BJ Cleveland


Adjunct Lecturer - Acting for the Camera
Mr. Cleveland is the Artistic Director for Texas Creative Arts Academy in Coppell. He is also the Guest Director/Outreach Teacher/Scenic Artist at Theatre Arlington, with which he has worked for well over two decades. He has over 350 different roles to his credit as Director, Actor, and Choreographer for almost every major theatre in the Metroplex as well as Regional, National, and International tours, and was a household name for ten years as host of two television shows "BJ and Lester" for KXTX-TV39 and "BJ and the Super Ones" for KTVT-1 I. He has also appeared on the NBC series "The Facts of Life" and is featured in the Robert Altman film "Streamers". BJ recently received the Lifetime Achievement by the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County, and has been nominated twice as the Star Telegram Man of the Year for Arlington. He has received numerous acting awards including Best Local Actor by the Star Telegram, FW Weekly, Rabin nominated him for his work at Uptown Players in Dallas, and serves with him on the OAC Advisory Board and actor's Equity Association Liason Board.
