Laurie Land

Lecturer - Costume Design

   Laurie Land received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from the University of Memphis.  She began working with UTA in the spring of 2009, designing costumes for The Robber Bridegroom.  Along with her work at UTA, she is currently a free-lance costume designer in Dallas, as well as, the costume shop manager at the Dallas Children’s Theater.  She has designed for various theatres in Dallas including:  Shakespeare Dallas, The Dallas Children’s Theater, WaterTower Theatre and The Inevitable Theatre Company.  Laurie has also served as costume shop manager for the past two summer seasons at Shakespeare Dallas.  Her recent work outside of Dallas includes co-lighting design for Voices of the South’s Cicada; and costume design for All the Great Books, Abridged and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (School Tour) at the Hangar Theatre.
