Stage Combat is a specialized technique designed to create the illusion of physical combat without causing harm to the performers. UTA Students have the opportunity to train in 6 basic disciplines of combat: unarmed, broadsword, single rapier, rapier and dagger, smallsword and quarterstaff. The theatre program offers students the opportunity to take a basic skills proficiency test which leads to actor/combatant certification through Dueling Arts International. |  |
