Course Description and Objectives
The College Learning Course is designed to introduce college students to learning strategies and behaviors necessary for academic success. This course is not unlike Freshman Seminars offered at various institutions across the nation. In this course, students will be introduced to theoretical models and the application of these models. The theories and strategies presented in this course may be applied to knowledge across academic programs and in personal and career development. The course contains three major units of study: 1) Self-Assessment and Self-Regulation, 2) Cognitive Theory and Learning Strategies, and 3) Behavior Modification.
