Q. Why have I been admitted to the Gateway Advantage program?
A. Students who do not meet regular freshman admission requirements might qualify for the Gateway Advantage program. If you would like information about your admission status, please contact an Admissions Counselor in the Office of Admissions, 817-272-6287 or consult Admissions
Q. May I take more than 14 credit hours in my first semester at UTA?
A. For your first semester at UTA, 14 credit hours is the maximum. If your advisor approves it, you may take more than 14 credit hours in your second and subsequent semesters.
Q. Can I join a Maverick Scholars Freshman Interest Group and be in the Gateway Advantage program?
A. There is a Freshman Interest Group (FIG) specifically designed for Gateway students. You can sign-up for this FIG at Freshman Orientation in the summer or online now at www.uta.edu/lc/join
