Counselors are available to assist students with personal, academic and career decisions. Their goal is to provide support services and help each student reach a solution to his/her situation. Individual counseling is offered for students by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Group counseling is also offered in addition to helpful student success seminars and presentations to classes and student groups.

Undergraduate and graduate engineering students can sign up for the MentorNet One-on-One E-Mentoring program via the MentorNet website (www.MentorNet.net). They will then be assigned a mentor who is either working in industry or has an academic career. The E-Mentors will correspond via email with their students each week from October to May. Students graduating in December should not apply. Contact Sally Hoelke in the COE Counseling and Advising Center for more information.

In cooperation with the Counseling Center, Career Services can aid students in the process of selecting a major and investigating career options. In addition, Career Services offers assistance with job search skills, resume development, interviewing and offers career days/job fairs, on-campus interviewing, and a resume referral service.
