Each fall, the Mentoring Program in the College of Business Administration (COBA) gives new business students the opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship with a business faculty or staff member in an effort to provide encouragement and support during the first semester at UTA. Students must be attending UTA during their first semester to participate. Submit an application to the program to the Undergraduate Advising Office, COBA, Room 107 Business Building. Matching priority will be given to freshmen students, but there is no guarantee that a student will be matched with a mentor. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Gateway Advantage
The Gateway Program is an intensive program where new freshman enroll in 12 hours of guided curriculum to aid in academic success.
Maverick Scholars
Maverick Scholars program groups student together in learning communities in an attempt to build their academic skills and develop relationships with their peers, Peer Counselors, and Faculty Advisors.
UTA HOSTS! Peer Mentoring Program
