DSST
DSST’s provide an opportunity for people to obtain college credit for what they have learned in non-traditional ways. The DSST Program is made available by Thompson-Prometric and is used by adult education programs, the United States Department of Defense and two and four-year colleges. The DSST program is used by colleges and universities to award college credit to those who demonstrate that they have knowledge comparable to someone who completed the classroom course in the subject.
Detailed descriptions of all DSST examinations, sample questions, and suggested resources for preparation can be accessed through the web at http://www.getcollegecredit.com/. UT Arlington is an open DSST test center, and candidates should contact Testing Services for test dates and registration procedures.
The DSST tests are now computer based and you can receive your scores the same day that you test. You will create your own user name and password, which will enable you to obtain your scores online at http://ibt.prometric.com/dsst from any remote location.
