What Are the CAP Requirements for 2009-10?
- Attend UT Arlington’s summer freshman orientation program, New Maverick Orientation (NMO), during which you will:
- Meet with an Academic Advisor
- Get approved for and register for your classes
- Complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester credit hours from UT’s approved course list during the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters.
- Only courses with a grade of “C” or higher are transferable.
- All courses must be completed in residence at UT Arlington.
(CLEP, AP, transfer, and dual enrollment courses are not counted toward the 30 credit hour requirement.)
- Earn a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20
- If you receive a D or an F in a course, it WILL be calculated in your GPA. D’s and F’s are NOT transferable.
- Remain an Undeclared major
- Apply for the School of Undergraduate Studies at UT
- At the end of your CAP year, request that UT Arlington send your official transcript to UT-Austin.
- UT-Austin must receive your transcript by the deadline: June 1.
- To send your transcript, contact the Registrar’s Office, 1st floor, Davis Hall or by visiting their web site.
