Maverick Advisors Reaching for Knowledge (MARK): Advisor Training and Development Program
In the past, the University Advising Center has supported basic advisor training at UT Arlington. Recently, the program has been reformulated and was re-launched Fall 2007.
The new conceptualization of the program includes basic advisor training for new advisors—MARK – Tier I—as well as more advanced professional development opportunities for the more seasoned advisors—MARK – Tier II and MARK – Tier III.
Tier I had great success in Fall 2007 and Tier II is scheduled to begin Fall 2008 for advisors who want to continue their professional development. Advisors completing the MARK-levels of professional development will receive a certificate of completion and be recognized at UTAAA events. Tier I will be re-offered in Spring 2009 and Tier III is being developed for Spring 2010.
