If you’re eager to graduate and get a job, check out UT Arlington’s program in University Studies. This new offering puts you on the fast track to earning a degree by maximizing your existing credit hours through an individualized curriculum.
Designed for students seeking options beyond the traditional university majors, the program features a breadth of study in a range of academic disciplines that prepare you for a variety of career paths. When you earn a University Studies degree, you’ll graduate with a broad-based education in at least three subject areas. And you’ll be a step closer to launching your career.

How to Apply >
What are the program requirements?
- You must have 60 or more credit hours to be admitted to the program.
- You must have a 2.0 GPA to be admitted to and graduate from the program.
- You must complete UT Arlington’s core curriculum courses.
- You must complete an online application.
- Once admitted, you must complete 15 hours from three content areas for a total of 45 hours. Hours earned before entering the program may be used to satisfy degree requirements after consulting with a program advisor.
- In each content area, at least six of the 15 hours must be 3000/4000 level courses.
- Of the total 45 hours, no more than 15 may have the same course prefix.
- Courses completed as part of the core curriculum may not be used to satisfy the degree requirements.
