To ensure that this degree program is the best option for you and your future goals, we require that all students apply to the program and include a written statement regarding their motivations for pursuing a University Studies degree.
NOTE: Students cannot apply for this program until they have completed at least 60 hours of undergraduate coursework that could be applied to a degree plan at UT Arlington. (Transfer credits from technical/vocational programs from a technical or community college are not accepted at UT Arlington for this degree program in general and could not be used toward the completion of this degree plan.)
Students who are considering pursuing a professional or graduate degree should conduct research about the requirements for the advanced degree and talk with a University Studies advisor prior to completing the application to be sure the degree meets those requirements.

You will be notified via your UTA student email account of your acceptance to the program no later than 10 business days from receipt in our office.
Once accepted, students will be immediately changed to an Intended University Studies Major and need to receive all advisement from the University Studies advisors.
