With well over 100,000 UT Arlington alumni in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex alone, you’re bound to know, live next to, work with, or be related to a Maverick. While the UT Arlington Alumni Association is primarily made up of graduates, anyone who is a fan, family member or friend can join. The 40-member board of directors and six-member staff provide year-round benefits to members including social, networking and educational events, subscription to UT Arlington Magazine, chapter activities and services.
UT Arlington boasts a diverse student population, with more than 10 percent from other countries. Members of the local community and these international students can benefit tremendously by taking time to understand and appreciate the differences and similarities in their cultures. To that end, the Office of International Education created the Link — an international friendship program that matches international students and scholars with families and individuals from the Arlington community.
UT Arlington’s voluminous growth in academic and research pursuits keeps the University Library on its toes by providing ever-increasing electronic access to resources, improving services and enhancing public outreach programs. The Friends of the UT Arlington Library, comprised primarily of members of the local community, play a critical role in supporting these efforts. Members provide financial support through dues, leadership gifts, and other donations that touch the lives of virtually every UT Arlington student, faculty and staff member, not to mention the countless guests that visit the library annually. Members also enjoy year-round activities including author events.
