H1N1 Flu Advisory No. 2 UT Arlington Continues to Monitor H1N1 VirusBeginning today, and until further notice, you will receive Monday-Friday editions of MavWire Extra to ensure that you have the most current information about precautions against the H1N1 influenza virus on our campus. To date, no students screened by UT Arlington Health Services have tested positive for the H1N1 virus. University leaders continue to closely monitor the situation and to urge faculty, staff and students to practice good hygiene, including regular hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer. Comprehensive information about UT Arlington's response is posted on the University's Web site. President James D. Spaniolo has directed University community members to suspend work-related travel to Mexico, where the outbreak is thought to have originated, until further notice. Additionally, all faculty, staff and students should take this opportunity to update their MavAlert emergency contact information. The MavAlert system sends e-mail, voice mail and text alerts in the event of a campus crisis.
