H1N1 Flu Advisory No. 3

University Increases Hand Sanitizer Supplies,
Offers Counseling Services

To date, no students have tested positive for H1N1 influenza through the UT Arlington Health Services clinic. The University is closely monitoring the outbreak and remains in close contact with local, state and federal officials to keep abreast of developments and precautions that should be taken.

To help prevent the spread of the virus, UT Arlington has placed additional supplies of hand sanitizer in public assembly areas and continues to encourage the campus community to practice good hygiene, including frequent hand washing. Custodial and dining services crews are conducting additional cleaning procedures each day.

Additionally, students who may be experiencing distress related to the H1N1 outbreak and who may need assistance should contact UT Arlington Counseling Services at 817-272-3671 to make an appointment. Faculty and staff may contact the Employee Assistance Program at 1-800-343-3822 to learn about counseling support.
