UT Arlington will remain closed Thursday, February 3
The University of Texas at Arlington and the UT Arlington Fort Worth Center will remain closed Thursday, February 3, 2011, due to ongoing hazardous driving conditions and severe winter temperatures.
All classes and campus events scheduled for Thursday are canceled. University Center dining facilities, including the Connection Café, will remain open to serve campus residents.
The NFL Charities media event scheduled Thursday morning at the Maverick Activities Center is expected to take place. The event is closed to the public, but is being held in conjunction with Super Bowl XLV to officially announce the newest location of a Youth Education Town sports center at the Salvation Army headquarters just north of UT Arlington.
Regular University activities will resume Friday unless otherwise notified.
Please continue to monitor University e-mail and the UT Arlington website, www.uta.edu for the latest information. Notices also will be distributed to area media outlets and distributed through Facebook and Twitter.
Additionally, the University's Emergency Information Hotline at 1-866-258-4913 always has the current status of all operations.
