UT Arlington will remain closed Friday, February 4

The University of Texas at Arlington and the UT Arlington Fort Worth Center will remain closed Friday, February 4, 2011, due to hazardous driving conditions, forecasts for additional precipitation, and severe winter temperatures.

All classes and campus events scheduled for Friday are canceled.

University Center dining facilities, including the Connection Café, will be open Friday and throughout the weekend to serve campus residents.

The Ultimate Huddle event scheduled for Saturday night will be held, as scheduled.

A reminder that the Maverick Activities Center will be closed on Sunday, as previously scheduled, for Super Bowl XLV-related events.

Regular University activities and schedules are expected to resume Monday.

Please continue to monitor University e-mail and the UT Arlington website, www.uta.edu for the latest information. Notices also will be distributed to area media outlets and distributed through Facebook and Twitter.

Additionally, the University's Emergency Information Hotline at 1-866-258-4913 always has the current status of all operations.
