UT Arlington to remain closed through Saturday, December 7, for winter weather conditions

The University of Texas at Arlington will remain closed through Saturday, December 7, 2013, due to icy roads and winter weather conditions. The UT Arlington Research Institute in Fort Worth, the UT Arlington Fort Worth Center, and all other UT Arlington locations will be closed.

The closing affects all offices, libraries, events, activities, and classes.

The men's basketball game vs. Weber State, currently scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at College Park Center, has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Connection Café in the E.H. Hereford University Center remains open to serve campus residents.

All final exams scheduled for Saturday, December 7, have been postponed and rescheduled for next week, December 9-13. Check with your department to determine the new dates and times when your exams will be held.

Students scheduled for math final exams on Saturday, December 7, will now take their final exams in the regular final exam time slot according to the official University final exam schedule. The exams will take place in the same room in which students had their lecture class throughout the fall semester.

At this time the University is expected to be open for business on Monday, December 9. Additional communications will be forthcoming only as changing weather conditions may mandate. Otherwise, all operations and schedules will be considered to be on normal schedules on Monday.

Please continue to monitor University email and the UT Arlington home page, www.uta.edu, for the latest information. Notices also will be distributed to area media outlets and through the official UT Arlington Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Additionally, the University's Emergency Information Hotline at 1-866-258-4913 always has the current status of all operations.
