UT Arlington closes Wednesday, February 9, for winter weather conditions

The University of Texas at Arlington and the UT Arlington Fort Worth Center will be closed Wednesday, February 9, 2011, due to icy road conditions and forecasts for additional freezing precipitation.

All classes, events and activities scheduled today are canceled.

The Connection Café in the E.H. Hereford University Center will remain open to serve campus residents.

The 7 p.m. men's basketball game vs. Sam Houston State University, however, will be played as scheduled at Texas Hall. Admission is free.

Please continue to monitor University e-mail and the UT Arlington website for the latest information. Notices also will be distributed to area media outlets and distributed through Facebook and Twitter.

Additionally, the University's Emergency Information Hotline at 1-866-258-4913 always has the current status of all operations.
