Ring in the New Year at the Planetarium at UT Arlington

ARLINGTON - Experience an out-of-this world celebration for New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, with two music shows at the Planetarium at The University of Texas at Arlington, 700 Planetarium Place.

"Sounds of the Underground" is a music show set to the styles of techno, dance, club and rave. A unique variety of artistic 3-D animations make this the perfect experience for music club enthusiasts and anyone who likes a dancing experience for the eyes.

"Holiday Music Magic" features a variety of holiday songs from Mannheim Steamroller and Burl Ives to Brenda Lee and Kurt Bestor. The soundtrack is visually choreographed with 3-D artistic animation, real-time performance elements and all-dome scenery.

Afterward, if weather is good, partygoers can view the night sky through telescopes.

Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
