ARLINGTON - The Planetarium at The University of Texas at Arlington brings several of popular programs to its summer schedule.
Summer shows include:
- Texas Stargazing is a one-hour, live tour of the Texas sky.
- Bad Astronomy looks at the myths and misconceptions in astronomy and sets the record straight.
- Black Holes shows how mammoth stars make a black hole and where they migh lead.
- The Secret of the Cardboard Rocket is a solar system program for children.
- Stars of the Pharoahs shows the connection the ancient Egyptians felt with the stars and how science was used to tell time, make a calendar and align huge buildings.
- Stars at Night are Big and Bright provides a little bit of everything: planets, stars and galaxies.
- The Sunday matinee features a different Planetarium show each week.
- Weekly $2 movies are listed on the Planetarium Web site.

Tuesdays
- 2 p.m., Secret of the Cardboard Rocket

Wednesdays

- 6 p.m., $2 movie
Thursdays
- 2 p.m., Secret of the Cardboard Rocket
- 7 p.m., Black Holes
Fridays
- 2 p.m., Stars at Night are Big and Bright
- 6 p.m., $2 movie
Saturdays
- 1 p.m., Secret of the Cardboard Rocket
- 2:30 p.m., $2 movie

Sundays

The Planetarium at UT Arlington is located at 700 Planetarium Place. The Roundhouse is on the south side of Preston Hall, which is slightly northwest of the Planetarium.
